To establish principles and parameters on behalf of the peoples of the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area to act together in unity, in order to pursue and achieve self-determination and regional autonomy.

Advocacy

Council has an important role to play in advocating to State and Federal Governments on matters that impact the quality of life and liveability of the communities it serves.

Community Grants

Community organisations and individuals can apply for financial and in-kind assistance through the Council’s Community Grants Program for activities, events and projects.
