Our Work

We provide aged care support services for residents and operate two childcare centres.

Our dedicated staff manage pest and disease control and oversee animal management. Additionally, we have a committed team focused on promoting sustainability and addressing climate change.

Under our planning and building remit, we manage various capital assets, coordinate housing and lease management, facilitate building and maintenance services, and actively engage in native title and land management matters.

We manage services related to water, waste, parks, and gardens. Furthermore, we disseminate information and coordinate services concerning roads, seaports, and airports.

We collaborate with community organisations and government agencies to deliver health and wellbeing services in our communities, and we are involved in supporting local disaster management coordination.

We provide residents with access to a wide range of resources at our Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKCs) located in selected council offices. We also promote and support local art centres, recognising the importance of cultural preservation through art.

We offer individuals and community organisations the opportunity to apply for funding through our Community Grants programme. We also manage a variety of facilities available for hire by contractors and the community, including council-managed accommodation and recreational facilities.
