Councillor John Levi: Dedicated to Serving St Paul’s Community

As the representative for St Paul’s community, Councillor John Levi is focused on delivering the needs and expectations of his people, ensuring their voices are heard. He is committed to advocating for his community and addressing their concerns.

With a strong background in construction, railways, housing, and carpentry, Cr. Levi brings valuable experience to his role. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys outdoor activities such as:

  • Playing darts
  • Reading

Cr. Levi draws strength from his faith in God, his Christian beliefs, and the support of his family and community. His primary goal for the region is to see the positive visions developed within Council come to life, ensuring that the voices of the people are not only heard but that their issues are actively addressed.

“The future wellbeing of our Torres Strait nation is to leave something meaningful for future generations,” says Cr. Levi. He encourages his community to, “appreciate where we have come from as a nation, be strong and courageous as we lead towards the future. Appreciate life – sometimes we forget – and give thanks for what we have.”
