Reservoir Tank Renewal Projects: Strengthening Water Security Through Leak Prevention

We’re excited to announce the successful completion of the Erub and St Pauls Reservoir Tank renewal projects—an achievement made possible through teamwork, innovation, and dedication to our communities.   

Work began in October 2024, with M & J Arthur leading the complex restoration of the Erub Reservoir, while Northern Water and ATM Tanks managed the upgrades at St Pauls. By December 2024, both reservoirs had been fully refurbished, enhancing water security and reliability for years to come.   

At Erub, the tank was restored to like-new condition with a full refurbishment, including a brand-new roof and a state-of-the-art membrane lining. Meanwhile, at St Pauls, a high-quality membrane lining was installed to prevent leaks and safeguard the community’s water supply.   

To ensure uninterrupted service during the upgrades, a network of temporary poly tanks was strategically installed. This solution was a collaborative effort led by our skilled technical officers, with support from dedicated team members and Northern Water.   

These projects reinforce our commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure that meets the needs of our communities. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this a success!
